Dear students and parents,
I am happy to announced that Alexandra Mullins will be teaching with us beginning September 2016. Please read about her below.
Alexandra Mullins holds a BM from Indiana University at the Jacob’s School of Music where she studied under Professor Susann McDonald on the harp and with Emile Naoumoff on the piano. She has been awarded top prizes in national and international competitions, including the USA as well as Israel international harp competitions, and first place in the American Harp Society National competition where she completed a two-year position as the Society’s Concert Artist. During this time, she performed over twenty solo concerts across the US. She has also performed several times as a soloist on the harp and piano with orchestras in the US and Europe. As a performer, she is passionate in finding new works to perform on both harp and piano, playing both works from up and coming composers and composing her own transcriptions.
Alexandra has over seven years of teaching experience on both the harp and piano and has been particularly active as a master class teacher at local harp chapters across the country. Currently, she is an Itinerant Musician for Colonial Williamsburg, where she performs a variety of folk and early music appropriate to the 18th century and also performs locally at events and with orchestras.
If you know anyone who wants to take a harp or piano lessons, please let me know. Alexandra is accepting a new students.
